These are pictures taken on Guy Fawkes' night. A long time ago, Guy Fawke's attempted to light parliament on fire and was caught and burned at the stake. Every year, the British celebrate the capture of Fawkes by lighting off fireworks and building bonfires. Some even build mini Guy dolls and throw them into the fire!!
I went to this fireworks display with several of my friends and the international society, but there were fireworks going off all around the city. In fact, they were essentially going off all weekend leading up to this night. It was a great evening and a lot of fun!
